Hollie Stover

Hollie Stover (Eastern Band Cherokee) has been beading for over twenty years and crocheting for over fifteen. Primarily a self-taught artist, Stover’s brother first taught her to bead daisy chains, powwow regalia, and rosettes until she began experimenting with other techniques on her own. Stover’s work utilizes both natural and synthetic materials such as acrylic, cotton yarn, yarn derived from plastic bags, seeds, hex, dentalium, heishi, and cornbeads. Inspired by the natural world, her design aesthetic highlights the use of fire and water colors with a Native flair. Her work is showcased primarily in a variety of earring styles and graduation caps. Stover currently resides in the Wolftown Community of Cherokee, NC with her daughter.
