Keisha Lambert (Eastern Band Cherokee) Keisha is a self-taught freelance photographer and multidisciplinary artist from the Qualla Boundary. She has 14 years of experience in the arts and currently resides in Tsisgwohi. A proud member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and Anigilohi, Keisha’s work is inspired by her Cherokee, Filipino, and Cataloochee heritage. Her art explores themes of nature, community, family, self-love, and social awareness, each piece telling a story rooted in cultural identity and personal experience. Her creative journey has been shaped by her parents: her love for photography comes from her mother, Vikki Smith, and her passion for drawing from her father, Renato Sogueco. Through her small business, K.R. Sogueco Designs, Keisha shares her artwork with the goal of empowering and inspiring others. She believes in the power of storytelling through visual expression and hopes her work encourages others to embrace and celebrate their own stories.
