Faith Long-Presley (Eastern Band Cherokee), member of the Long Hair Clain, is the creator and owner of Ganvhida Designs, LLC, a company named to honor her family name of “Long.” Long-Presley comes from an expansive lineage of Cherokee craftspeople. She learned to sew from her grandmothers, Glenna Cunningham and Nancy Long. The stories and legends of the Cherokee people inspire her textile and graphic designs. Relatively new to the artworld, Long-Presley has been producing her work for the public for just over two years, but has been involved in supporting other artists for well over six years.
Long-Presley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Carson-Newman University, where she also participated in track and field.
In 2017 she was named Miss Cherokee, representing the Eastern Band of Cherokee all over the world as a goodwill ambassador. She currently lives in the Big Y Community of Cherokee, NC with her husband and daughter.
