Sharon Elizabeth Bradley (Eastern Band Cherokee), a member of the Bird Clan, has extensive experience in not only fashion design and execution, but also merchandising. Her training as a financial advisor led her into the classroom where she taught generations of Cherokee students entrepreneurial skills and investment strategies, some of which now operate their own businesses. For over fifty years, Bradley has worked in the mediums of jewelry and garment design and construction. She comes from a lineage of talented artists, including her sister, painter, photographer, and writer Jodi Bradley Lipscomb. As a young girl sewing unique outfits for her Barbies, Bradley quickly learned craftsmanship skills from her mother Ann and aunt, Betty Crowe. However, Bradley credits her artistic inspiration to the story of Coco Chanel and has developed her own fashion aesthetic that guides her current pattern making and construction. She currently resides in the Big Y Community of Cherokee, NC.
